In the interest of getting stuff posted, I’m just going all out of order these days, and offering up my latest make instead! This was a bit of an impulse sew, but I’ve been wanting to add some tweedy jackets to my wardrobe, so this one scratched that itch - the Pona Jacket is a quick sew, being unlined (with wide facings), patch pockets and no closure.
Pattern: Helen’s Closet Pona Jacket, size 4
Pattern mods: I cut out view A (longer version with long sleeves), but chopped it half-way in-between the long hem and the cropped hem of view B.
Fabric: wool blend boucle, from Emma One Sock (currently on sale!)
Date started/finished: 9/26/23 - 10/17/23
Notes: I mostly finished this up a few weeks ago and wore it a few times before getting around to adding the patch pockets - It works either way, but I’m always a fan of pockets. Overall, it was a quick and easy sew. I generally prefer a set-in sleeve as opposed to a drop sleeve on me, so I was unsure about it, but I would make it again! I can see a light-weight version, maybe in linen, in my future.
Very cute jacket and it looks really good on you.
